What it is: Ink Rally is a six week writing challenge (think nanowrimo), where you define your own writing goals.
Dates: the Rally runs from Oct. 30th to Dec. 4th.
How it works: define your goal. It can be as detailed or vague as you wish, and doesn’t have to be bound to a particular MS. For example: finish WIP, or revise 30k words, or map character arcs, or all three. The point is to shoot for something manageable.
Weekly check-ins: each Monday, send us your progress (via email: site AT inkandangst DOT com, or via twitter: @tessaelwood). We’ll post it on Tuesday. This is the fun part—showing off what you’ve accomplished, and seeing what everyone else has been up to. Updates can be a quick wrote 5 pages or an in-depth list of work done.
Show & Tell: check-in isn’t just for updates, you can send teasers, philosophical ramblings, or anything you feel inclined to share. We’ll post them along with your progress. Two rules: the WIP-snippets/thoughts must come from work done during the Rally week prior, and they must be in by Monday night.
How to join (UPDATED): email your personal writing goal to site AT inkandangst DOT com, or tweet it to me at @tessaelwood by Monday night, Nov. 5th. That’s it! I’ll have you on the post for Tuesday. Also, if you like, add a pretty graphic to your sidebar and link it back here.
